Have your ever came up with an awesome new product or service? Then once you finally obtained the courage to take a leap - of - faith and advertise your product or service and things didn't go quite as planned? We all know how it feels to catch a massive headache from struggling to solve our product's increasingly low sales rates. Sometimes we even start to feel defeated and felt like maybe this isn't the right field for us.
Majority of the time when it comes to these type of issues its usually results from lack of marketing knowledge or lack of an effective marketing strategy.
You cannot jump from having an small business service and go straight into consistently converting sales. Business don't work like that. Just because you have an awesome business service or some kind of "state of the art" "new and improved" product that does not mean that your potential customer is aware of the factuality within that statement. Its still a very good chance that the lead do not believe you.
Think about this 🤔 Would you spend your hard earned money with someone you don't trust? Don't get me wrong there are people out there who would spend money they've acquired with their blood, sweat & tears with a complete stranger 🤔 but the question still remains.
What is your Marketing Strategy to get their attention and make them aware of the products and or services that you have to offer?
First thing first. Before we can answer that we must first gain an understanding of what market strategy is.
Marketing Strategy ------- The long-term plan that businesses use to make their target audience aware of the sales, products, and services that have to offer. This is intended to keep your customer's up-to-date as well as scale your business.
In order for any business to succeed a marketing strategy is essential. There are hundreds upon hundreds of marketing strategies but today here in this article we are only going to focus on what I believe to be the 10 most important types.
#1)Building an customer's avatar
The very first question you must ask yourself when making any type of business strategy is figuring out who your target audience is. Building an customer's avatar simply means in your head think about what type of person is most likely to buy your product or service and build a relationship with them. What age are they? What are their interest? How much income do they make? What problems are they facing?
YOU MUST KNOW YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND.
If you can identify this person problem, speak to them on a level they can relate too, provide them with valuable information then provide them with your product or service as the solution to their product you are over 75%more likely to complete the sale.
#2) Study your competition
Here's the thing how can you run a business or service without anything to compare it to. This is a must. What services does your competition offer? What are their prices? How does their website look? Why does people buy from them? This is a big question. If you can understand why people buy from your competition then you can figure out how to get people to buy from yourself. All you need to do is tweak the service a little and do something that stands out from the competition in order to get some of your competitors customers to shop with you.
3) Understanding the psychology of sales.
Psychology of sales is as simple as this, why do people spend their money? Did you know that psychology states that people do not buy anything without first having an emotional connection with the product or service? Think of the last time you went and bought clothes from a store. Did you buy that pair of name brand pants because you just so happen to seen it and liked it? Most likely that answer is NO. Here's the real reason why. Subconsciously the moment you saw the reaction or emotion of a person of influence your brain immediately wanted to replicate that "feeling" you saw from that person. Why else would you spend $150 on 1 pair of pants when you could get a pair that looks similar but without the name brand for $40? Answer. Something triggered your emotions. Now here's my question for you. How are you going to going to use this information to your advantage?
4) Website design & development
So you know what type of business or service you want? You have a basic understanding of why people spend their money & you've studied your competition. Now what's a great way to get the word out other than the classic "Word-Of-Mouth" 🤔
Up above is a screenshot from a previous website I had made for Crystal Whilite's hair and photography httpsttps://blackuchiha0071.wixsite.com/crystalwilhites
As you can see from the example above a stunning website is a great way to get the word out about your business or service. However, Just because you or someone else created you a stunning website that does not necessarily mean that the world will know about what you have to offer. Your website still needs traffic. Here are some tips on how to draw traffic to your website
#1) Learn SEO i highly recommend going to YouTube and typing in Neil Patel he is by far the most known and most influential and knowledgeable person on the subject.
2) Social media. Get yourself known on every platform and leave links going back to your website
3)Give-a-way. One very effective way to grow traffic on your website is too give away something for free. this also goes back to what i was saying about the Law of Reciprocation. When you do something nice for someone they feel obligated to do something in return. when you give away something free to your visitors they will in turn keep coming back hoping for more free products and tell other people to check it out as well.
