Ever since it came into existence social media has been the most popular marketing tool used to increase brand awareness.
It's been estimated that over 50 percent of the Earth's population has a social media account.
It seems as if everywhere you turn you see someone with a mobile device in their hands and usually they're on social media.
According to Digital Marketing Specialist Adam Erhart 2.3 Billion people uses Facebook daily.
After meditating for a while with that in mind. It took me awhile to figure it out but I finally saw the big deal.
No wonder it's now a popular trend for most major business corporations to use social media as part of their marketing strategy.
ITS WHERE ALL THE ATTENTION IS AT!!!!
Managing a social media account for a business is no-where near as easy as it seems.
Like most business-minded individuals your probably asking yourself the same question that we've all asked at one time or another.
🤔 "If I be on my personal social media account daily why should I hire someone to manage my business page?
Everything changes when it comes to managing a business social media page!
For example you must learn the social platform algorithm, learn data analytics, define your target audience, study their tendencies & your competition, create a content strategy, learn the difference between organic traffic and paid traffic, make engaging post that spreads value etc etc....
And we cant forget ADS.. Whether its PPC (Pay per click) or Free Ads, ADS are a huge reason why you should hire a social media manager. Getting your message across to the right geographic, the right age group, on the right platform and at the right time is essential to gaining paying customers online.
Another important reason why you should hire a social media manager is because of Content Strategy. You cannot market to your audience the same way on Facebook as you do LinkedIn. Each specific platform has a different audience and algorithm thus adjustments must be made in order to get the most out of each platform. I will go more into detail about content strategy in a future post
Ideally you should want to use each social media platform for separate reasons. For example as myself I use Facebook to spread value and give customers updates on my services and as a lead to my website.
I tend to use Instagram primarily to show visual examples of my services. Pinterest is where i like to show of my brand identity via blog articles as well do some networking with people in my field.
I find Linked In to be an awesome place to show off my brand's personality and its also the main platform I use for networking. Reddit is the platform that brings me majority of my customers online so I use it to simply to engage with everyone and spread valuable information to those whose needs fits my services.
Lastly Twitter is the platform that brings me the least amount of customers so its primarily used to repurpose posts from other platforms.
This is why Content strategy is so important. Each platform requires different content. Making random post at random times will make it very hard for you to convert sales online. You must appeal your targeted demographic, geographic, and age group all while providing truthful and valuable information.
One of the best ways to accomplish this is studying your competition. What platforms are they on? What kind of ADS are they making? How much are they spending on ADS? Who are they targeting? How are they engaging with their audience? Which platform brings them the most amount of sales? Most importantly What can you offer your customer or audience thats different from the competition?
Social Media will either make or break your business depending on how its handled. It is highly recommended for any small or large business to hire a social media manager
